Image
We've been teased for over year about the upcoming Electric Mayhem series, Muppets Mayhem and now Disney is giving us a proper teaser trailer.  The Mayhem begins below:   Since it's just a teaser they thankfully don't give to much away but there's a nice Spinal Tap spoof. I mean their amps only go to 11! And we get a full body shot of band rocking out! But the best of the teaser? We know have an official release date.. May 10th with all episode being released at once! Disney also released the poster for the series as well. Muppets Mayhem  streaming in May 10th only on  Disney+ .

Happy Birthday, Jim Henson!

Image
Happy Jim Henson Day!  This year Jim would have turned 86.  With Muppets Mayhem , the new Disney+ Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem series on the way, this year we celebrate Jim's birthday with clips of him performing Dr. Teeth. Here is the Eclectic Mayhem's debut on The Muppet Show: Sex And Violence : Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem are probably most known for the song "Can You Picture That?" Rather then show the clip from The Muppet Movie, here's the band preforming the tune in the TV special The Muppets Go Hollywood, that was used to promote the film.     And Jim's final performance as Dr. Teeth from  The Muppets at Walt Disney World     We miss you, Jim!

D23 Muppets Mayhem!

Image
Not only were the The Electric Mayhem action figures on display , the band itself made their first appearance at D23 this weekend to promote their upcoming Disney+ series Muppets Mayhem .  Not only did they performed "Can You Picture That?" (Check it from various perspectives of fans in attendance).    Afterward Floyd, Janice, and Animal joined costar Tahj Mowry to discuss their time working on the show. (Again check it from various perspectives of fans in attendance),    Disney blog Laughing Place also got Red Carpet interview with the series Co-Creator/ Executive Producer, Jeff Yorkes. Anyone else notice Peter Linz's take on Lips? Sounds like he'll now talk in a dialect only the other members of the band can understand. It took decades for Steve Whitmire to finally come up with a voice and personality for the yellow trumpet player on ABC's short lived  The Muppets . We'll se how this shift works when  The Muppe...

D23 Super7 Electric Mayhem ReAction Figures on Display!

Image
Over the weekend Disney held its annual D23 expo and there were plenty of Muppet surprises revealed over the three day convention. Part one of our look at all the Muppet D23 happenings is that Super 7's revealed their Muppet ReAction figure line featuring Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem for the first time. The figures of Dr. Teeth, Animal, Janice, Floyd, Zoot, and surprisingly Scooter were on  display , but sadly no sign of Lips. Perhaps Super7 is going for the group as they appeared in  The Muppet Movie  with Scooter being the band's road manger, but with the new  Muppets Mayhem  series prominently  featuring Lips as part of the band, I'm surprised  Disney didn't push for their inclusion.  Some look better then others, but w e should state that these are still in the prototype phase and still need "Licensor Approval" before being moved to the next phase of production.  We forwarded these images to our friend James Carro...

Can You Picture...The First Single from The Muppets Mayhem?!

Image
Disney released the first single from the upcoming Electric Mayhem series/ album Muppets Mayhem .  "Can You Picture That?" No seriously, can you? because you should....there's an album cover for it above! Don't get your hopes too high though, as this is the same version recorded for the band's 2026 Outside Lands show, which was then also used for the live shows at the Hollywood Bowl and England's O2. The Electric Mayhem / Disney also released a sing-along video for it in 2018. The visuals were also used for the live shows.  The only difference seems to be the removal of the psychedelic intro.  You can hear the new version below:   We'll keep you posted as more info abou t Muppets Mayhem is released.
